The Autumn 2026 Catalogue brings together the best of APSOV’s innovation: new high-yielding genetics, established varieties that continue to set market benchmarks, a new section dedicated to biogas crops, and exclusive technologies designed to improve the efficiency and sustainability of crop production.
Wheat
The wheat range is further expanded with the introduction of Accra, a new winter bread-making variety characterized by high yield potential and good tolerance to Fusarium head blight, and Agen, a new strong wheat variety combining excellent technological quality, healthy ears and agronomic stability.
Ardes now becomes a fully established member of the APSOV range. Its high yield potential and excellent stability across different growing environments make it one of the most promising and eagerly anticipated genetics of the new season.
Alongside Ardes, Rebelde, Austin, Apulia and Algeri continue to be key varieties in the range. These well-established varieties continue to stand out for their yield potential, grain quality and agronomic reliability.

Durum wheat
APSOV continues to invest in genetic innovation in durum wheat as well, introducing new high-performance varieties.
Among these, Socrate stands out for its high yield potential, excellent resistance to lodging and strong agronomic reliability. Platone also continues to be a leading variety, now well established as a benchmark in the Po Valley, alongside Confucio, Seneca and Bering. Together, they complete a range designed to meet the production needs of growers throughout Italy, offering differentiated solutions in terms of quality, stability and adaptability to different growing environments.
Barley
The barley range continues to strengthen with increasingly high-performing genetics focused on yield stability.
Tauri is now one of the leading references among two-row barley varieties resistant to Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus (BYDV), thanks to its high yield potential, crop health and reliability across different growing environments.
The range is completed by Draco, Plutone and Fenice, the latter also available with Qualidose® technology. Fenice is particularly valued for its earliness and its strong suitability for producing biomass for biogas plants, further confirming APSOV’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of modern farms.
Biogas crops
Among the main new features of the Autumn 2026 Catalogue is a new section dedicated to biogas crops, a steadily growing segment that requires highly specialised varieties.
APSOV offers a selection of wheat, barley and triticale varieties specifically selected for biomass production. These varieties are designed to maximise dry matter yield, increase biogas production per hectare and provide greater flexibility in crop rotations, helping to improve the efficiency and sustainability of biogas plants.
